This Japanese movie "Ballad - Namonaki Koi no Uta" isn't any tlanslated verison so far, but I believe it will have someday. It is great and my favorite. I can't see it without Kleenex.

As all people know well, Japan has suffered from severe diasters by earthquake and tsunami that happened on March 11. I extend my heartfelt condolence to victimes and sincerely hope that devastated area will get re-establishment at the earliest possible date. My first piece in a long while is about "Another" by Yukito Ayatsuji. 

Let me introduce a Makoto ShinKai's new and much-awaited anime film "Children Who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below" (Japanese tittle is "Hoshi wo Ou Kodomo"). It will be released in Japan on May. 

I hope that my favorite and heaart-warming novel "Colorful" by Eto Mori will be translated into English and other foreign languages someday and its picturization on last year must be the very good opener of that.

Yesterday I finnished watching a TV anime "Tokyo Magnitude 8.0". I watched it with praying that nobody would die. I really wish my prayer would come true.... It is the saddest anime which I have ever seen.

Since I wrote a piece about Joe Hisaishi, I would like to write another one, which focus on my best favorite tune - "The Path of Wind" from Miyazaki anime "My Neighbor Totoro", again.

I introduce to you a very famous manga/anime not only for Japanese but also for foreign people. Its official name is "Kareshi Kanojo no Jijo" (English tittle: His and Her Circumstances), for short: "Kare Kano".  

Japanese word "setsunai" means a feeling like not only bitter-sweet and also hurting a heart with a pain, or feeling to be close to crying, as I said earlier. Today I would like to introduce you a great and setsunai anime movie, "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" (Japanese tittle: Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo).

I wrote about Satoshi Kon with Susumu Hirasawa regarding "Paprika" on last month, but I am eager to write about them again... 

I would like to introduce you a novel, "In The Pool"; but more impressive one is an anime, which is based on it, and its music by Denki Groove. Both anime and music are very psychedelic and addictive.

It became on December. Coming soon on Xmas Eve! On this day, I really want to see, and YOU also to see a great anime movie which directed by Satoshi Kon, who died of cancer this year. It is "Tokyo Godfathers" which is full of amazing miracles.

I had thought that Japanese anime and manga contributed as a "gateway tool" to understanding Japanese pop culture for a long time. But I was completely wrong. Not just gateway tool. They are strongly retroactive media of communications between foreign people and Japanese. I knew my misunderstanding by "Shiki", which is originally a novel that Fuyumi Ono wrote, is made into manga by Ryu Fujisaki.

I wrote about "Ayakashi - Bakeneko" on this blog 5 days ago. "Ayakashi" is composed of three stories. "Bakeneko", which my friend Ms. Alla Koroid strongly recommended, is one of them. Alla gave me a review regarding the rest of them - "Yotsuya Kaidan" and "Tenshu Monogatari". Firstly I reprint Alla's wonderful review.

My friend on Facebook - Ms. Alla Koroid recommended I see a horror anime movie, "Ayakashi - Bakeneko". Great fun and filled with scary but sad feeling.

This is great reviews from Madogiwa no Totto san about "Haibane Renmei" and "5 Centimeters per Second".  

I just wanted you to see a cute manga and anime - "Kuimi ni Todoke - From Me to You" (another tittle: Reaching You). If you have read or seen that, which girls would you like? Maybe I must be minority because I like Kurumi-chan^^ 

I realized how many fan around the world mourn the death of Satoshi Kon. I would introduce you "Paprika" - his last and great anime movie. 

I would like to introduce you "Kino's Journey" This is one of "Light Novels" - for short "La-No-Be" in Japanese.

Having seen on Facebook, I was surprised and realized that there were many funs of Makoto Shinkai over the world. I am so glad to know that.

I would like to introduce you my one of the most favorite Japanese anime - "Haibane Renmei".

I wonder how we Japanese should translate a Japanese word - "setsunai" into English. One dictionary says "setsunai" is "sad", another says "agonizing" or "painful". Maybe all of the words is near meaning, but is not exactly right meaning.

Do you know "Fuyumi Ono" ?　She is the most talented horror and fantasy novelist in Japanese.
