I hope you all have fruitful holidays and begin a wonderful new year. At the beginning of this year, I would like to introduce you a masterpiece of Japanese anime movie . It is "Summer Wars" directed by Mamoru Hosoda.
Summer Wars
Its plot summary is: When timid eleventh-grader and math genius Kenji Koiso is asked by older student and secret crush Natsuki to come with her to her family’s Nagano home for a summer job, he agrees without hesitation. Natsuki’s family, the Jinnouchi clan, dates back to the Muromachi era, and they’ve all come together to celebrate the 90th birthday of the spunky matriarch of the family, Sakae. That’s when Kenji discovers his “summer job” is to pretend to be Natsuki’s fiancé and dance with her at the birthday celebration. As Kenji attempts to keep up with Natsuki’s act around her family, he receives a strange math problem on his cell phone which, being a math genius, he can’t resist solving. As it turns out, the solution to the mysterious equation causes a hijacking of the social networking site through which most of the world's social and business traffic flows. (Source: Mangafox)
According to the IMDb, after premiering the movie in 2009 in Japan, it was translated into Russian, Chinese, and Korea. So you can see the Chinese version with English subtitle on YouTube.
Besides that, English dub version was premiered on the last month and its DVD will come soon for sale. I found its trailer at the below site:

I am glad to hear that many people see the movie and be a fun. Its director, Mamoru Hosoda has been a staff director at Madhouse, which is the favorite animation studio in Japan, since 2005. His first film work for the director is "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time"(2006) and second one is "Summer Wars".
I love this story and animation including characters such as Kenji, Natsuki, or Sakae. Besides I love this music. Original sound tracks are by Teruhiko Matsumoto. I found one of them- "Sakae in Action" from YouTube. Its scene is the most personal favorite.
The Last Scene from Summer Wars
The ending roll music is "Bokura no Natsu no Yume" (Our Summer Dream), which was written and performed by Tatsuro Yamashita. In the movie, one of the most important message is "hold each hand"(Te to Te wo Tsunagu). We can see many scenes of holding the hand of someone repeatedly. the last scene is also that Kenji and Natsuki hold each hand. It really fits the Yamashita's song. Let you listen to them.
