Memories of Emanon

The author is Shinji Kajio, Si-Fi novelist.  Among his most famous works is "Yomigaeri" which tells the story of a strange incident in a local city in which several thousand dead people come back to life. It was made into movie and the firm, same tittle, succeed with high praise.

Kajio's another famous one is a series of "Emanon". "Emanon" is a a mysterious girl who holds a 3-billion-year old memory, dating back to the moment life first appeared on Earth. Her name id an ambigram of "No Name".

The story is: One young man like university student met her on a journey by ship. He stayed and chatted with her one night. He got a mysterious confession of her truth. He was not able to believe it but got huge impression from her. However, when he waked up the next morning, he found a memo left behind - "Good Morning! Good-By! EMANON"...
